We recognize that I Stretch My Hand may not give scholarship opportunities to all the kids in the South Sudanese Community due to our financial position. After carrying out a successful mentorship program in 2021 and getting an unexpectedly overwhelming student attendees of 100+, 250+, and 569+ in different parts of Kakuma Refugee Camp, we realized this is one of the many ways to reach a large number of our community kids who will not benefit directly from our Scholarship Program. Additionally, We offer career guidance and facilitate connections between university students and community members pursuing similar fields of study. Our mentorship efforts currently benefit individuals in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Calgary, and Kitchener where a significant portion of our community resides.
